Aircraft Crashed

A young topdressing pilot was killed instantly when his aircraft crashed while it was taking off from —a topdressing strip four miles west of Porangahau about 1.30 p.m. today. He was Llanelly Graeme Price, aged 26, married with two
children, of Dannevirke. He had been employed by Rural Aviation, Ltd., Now Plymouth, as a pilot for about nine months. The crash occurred st the end of the strip as the aircraft was taking off with a full load of fertiliser. Word was radioed to New Plymouth immediately by another pilot using the same strip, J<mn Nairn, of Feilding. The aircraft was a wreck,' said the manager of Rural Aviation, Ltd, Mr P. L. Lightband.
