Worthy Chat Is Awapuni Pick

With Narbada an unlikely starter, Worthy Chat is a warm favourite for the Gothard Handicap, first leg of the T-A.B. double at the Woodville meeting at Awapuni tomorrow.

The second leg is much more open. Alkira might be reserved for his owner’s local meeting at Wanganui, next week.

Home On The Range, Royal Chase and Marise are a likely trio. The field also includes Plantation, better drawn than on the first day when he was second to Alkira. The track has been easy, but is drying out quickly and will probably again be fast. Selections: —
