Power-Cycle Licences

The Transport Department yesterday corrected a statement it made on Thursday on changes in the regulations on driving licences. Existing holders of a power-cycle licence are required to sign a statement to their local authority signifying that they have had experience in riding a powercycle. The local authority will then extend their licence to cover the new class of motorcycle licence. The earlier statement said licence-holders had seven months in which to make their statements. They are required to do so by December 31.
