MR P. R. MAY, a senior lecturer in history at the University of Canterbury, has made West Coast history his special study. A West Coast man himself, he is a native of Ross, and was educated at Greymouth Technical College, before attending Canterbury University. He is the author of “The West Coast Gold Rushes.” which has had such success that a second edition will appear next year.
