"SHE" SAYS...

... 1 read recently that where bad male drivers are dangerous, bad women drivers are usually just frustrating for other motorists. I think this is an oversimplification. Often the frustrating woman driver is as unpredictable as she is slow, and is quite likely to make a sudden turn without signalling or looking, or stop without warning because she has seen something in a shop window. However, there are also many male drivers who are just as slow and unpredictable, although it does seem true the major male faults are carelessness and lack of courtesy. Nevertheless there are far fewer bad women drivers than most men imagine. 1 have heard it said that women drivers are either very good or very bad, and it does seem that women are, as a general rule, more inclined to be one or the other rather than just mediocre, as far too many male drivers are. And it is very rare to see a woman driver be deliberately discourteous—not so for the men! With Elegance Oh for the car with doors which will permit a woman to exit elegantly! Often one has to support oneself on the steering whel or door, straining the former or getting grease from the latter. As cars get lower, head-banging also is common. Usually a woman must swivel around on the seat so her feet meet the ground together. Designers take note: This takes both effort and practice particularly in a tight skirt, or if the steering wheel's lower edge is close to the seat
