League Tour Delayed
(From

LEEDS. The British Rugby League team win delay the start of the New Zealand tour next year by one week. Mr W. Fallowfield, secretary of the English Rugby League, said that Britain would now start its tour of New Zealand on August 20, instead of August 13. The team will spend a fur-|
ther week in Australia playing probably against a leading Sydney club side and one other side. Britain, which will start a tour of Australia next May, will play two tests in New Zealand. A cable report from Paris said that France had chosen a team with plenty of experience for the first league test against New Zealand at Marseilles on November 14. Six of the side are well known to the New Zealanders. They were in the French party which toured Australia and New Zealand last year. The six are: G. Ailleres, J. P. Lecompte, C. Sabathie, J.
Panno, R. Garnung and J. Graciet The selectors have relied on tried and tested players because the French season has not long been under way and they have had little time to assess the merits of players bidding for international places. The French team will assemble in Marseilles on November 12, two days before the match.
It is: P. Lacaze; G. Bruzy, J. P. Lecompte, G. Alberti, J. Marty; E. Courtine (fly-half), R. Garnung (scrum-half); J. P. Clar, H. Marrac. G. Ailleres, J. Panno, J. Graciet, C. Sabathie.
