After-hours Banking

An innovation in Christchurch banking facilities will be a “quick-deposit slot,? built into the north wall of a new branch of the Australia and New Zealand Bank, to be opened at 102 Victoria street on November 15. Access from Victoria and Montreal streets will allow motorists to drive past the slot during and after banking hours, and deposit cheques without alighting. The cheques, with a deposit slip, are simply put into an envelope and “posted.” The manager of the new bank will be Mr J. C. Little, formerly accountant at the Nelson branch.
