Comet Still Visible

(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, Nov. 1. The Ikeya-Seki comet could be seen for another week, a prominent Auckland astronomer, Dr. C. A. Corban, said today. It could be seen clearly in the Eastern sky about 3.30 a.m. and

was disappearing by 4.30. Several milkmen at Masterton have seen the comet clearly the last few mornings. Mr C. Henwood said he saw the comet from about 2.45 to four this morning. It was “still very clear and bright.” He and his brother, Mr E. Henwood, have seen it regularly since last Tuesday.

Mr A. N. Jones, whose round starts later, said he saw the comet as he went out to work at 3.45. It was starting to fade but could be seen clearly with the naked eye, he said.
