Shot Goat For Food

(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Nov. 1. Three men and an 11-year-old boy, lost in the Akatarawa ranges on Sunday night, had to shoot a wild goat for food. They cooked the goat over an open fire around which they huddled to keep warm. They waited till daybreak, and found their own way out of the ranges about noon today.

At his home in Korokoro tonight, one of the men, Leo Allen, aged 20, said he thought they would have to spend another night in the ranges. Leo’s brother, Roger, aged 11, said he huddled next to his dog to keep warm.
