NEW LICENCE GRANTED

Moving Combine Harvesters A continuous goods-service licence with two vehicle authorities has been granted to A. M. Bisley and Company, Ltd., by the No. 9 Transport Licensing Authority (Mr J. S. Haywood) m a reserved decision. One of the vehicle authorities is for a trailer only. The licence is for the South Island, and authorises the car r age of assembled combine harvesters purchased, sold, or serviced by the company, but excluding dismantled combine harvesters. Exemption from the 40-mile railwavs restriction is also allowed. The application was heard on September 21, when Mr M. D. Hodgans appeared for the applicant company, and Mr F. W Daly appeared for the Railways Department, which opposed the application.
