Lamb Prices Show Rise There was a steady inquiry for Neu* Zealand lamb at increased prices at Smithfield market last week, according to the market information service of the Meat Board. Quotations for the main grade (291 b to 361 b) increased [d per lb on the week before New Zealand mutton sold slowly at nominal prices. The main grade of wethers (49561 b) sold at 16d to 16J per lb and ewes at lid to 12d per lb. Trading was generally quiet through the week, with beef supplies tending to exceed de mand.
