ALUMINIUM SURPLUS
(N.Z PA -Reuter —Copyright) JOHNSON CITY, Nov. 1. President Johnson yesterday discussed with aides in Washington the possibility of disposing of 1.4 million short tons of surplus Government stockpile aluminium. The stockpile is valued at several hundred million dollars. The acting press secretary, James Moyers, said that, after the telephone discussions, the President ordered a meeting to be held in Washington tomorrow of Cabinet officers and heads of Government agencies involved in overseeing the aluminium stockpile. There has been a recent increase in the price of aluminium in the United States.
