£3000 Jet Boat
A nine-passenger jet boat, built in Christchurch as a cost of £3OOO, has been delivered to a new North Island comoany which will use it to carry tourist parties up the Wanganui river. The firm will run half-hour, half-day, and all-day trips. The boat is powered by a 200 horse-power engine driving a three-stage Hamilton jet, and is capable of 45 miles an hour. The new company is Wanganui River Jet Tours, Ltd.
