THE OTAGO HOSPITAL BOARD HOSPITAL LABORATORY TECHNOLOGISTS There will be vacancies in 1966 for TRAINEE TECHNOLOGISTS in the Diagnostic Laboratories of the Dunedin Hospitals. These laboratories were previously the diagnostic laboratories of the Departments of Pathology and Microbiology in the University of Otago. Applicants must have passed the University Entrance Examination. Passes in science subjects are an advantage and nersons who are awaiting the results of accrediting or sitting of these examinations should also apply. Applicants should be prepared to follow the fiverear course required to obtain the Certificate of Proficiency in Hos-pital Laboratory Practice of the Health Department. The successful candidates will be required to carry out routine diagnostic laboratory work and will be given a systematic course of instruction to prepare them for the Certificate of Proficiency Examination. The salary is in accordance with the Hospital Employment (Laboratory Workers) Regulations and commences at £565 per annum rising by annua] increments to £BS5‘ in the fifth year.
