Mr E. C. Ellison, who has been manager of the insurance department of Pyne, Gould, Guinness Ltd., for the last six years, retired at the end of last month. A keen bowler and an even keener Rugby football enthusiast, he served for many years on the committee of the Christchurch Rugby Football Club, and for a period was vice-president. Mr and Mrs Ellison will soon leave on a year’s world tour. Mr J. C. Wells, formerly assistant manager of the insurance department, has succeeded Mr Ellison as manager.
