If you ire between 16} and 24, of British birth, medically fit, and with a Secondary School education, you may be eligible to become a member of the Royal New Zealand Naval Volunteer Reserve. Your activities as a Reservist include: ★ A weekly parade at H.M.N.Z.S. Pegasus ★ 7 days at sea a year in a ship of the Royal New Zealand Navy ★ Weekend training in the 72' Motor Launch ★ Weekend sailing •k Rifle shooting. Indoor and Outdoor Sports Past and present members of the Canterbury Division have, in the course of their peacetime training, visited England, Australia, the Far East, Pacific Islands, U.S.A, and Antarctica. These opportunities are open to you. DID YOU KNOW THAT RESERVISTS ARE WELL PAID? CAN BECOME OFFICERS? CAN TRAVEL OVERSEAS? CAN GAIN PROMOTION THROUGH THEIR CIVILIAN TRADE? •Remember too—lf you are a member of the R.N.Z.N.V.R. at the time you are balloted for Compulsory Military Training, you may undertake the training in the Navy. If you are interested in becoming a member of the R.N. Z.N.V.R., pay a visit (which puts you under no obligation to join,) on any Monday night between 7.45 and 8.30 pm to: H.M.N.Z.S.
