Some Good N.Z. Gains At Close Of Trading
Some good gains were made in the New Zealand list yesterday as trading ended for the week. The market tone was firm, with rises ahead of falls for both New Zealand and Australian issues. Key New Zealand stocks were in balance.
Feltex N.Z. rose Is 3d to 32s 6d, Mosgiel 9d to 17s 6d, Henry Berry Is 6d to 19s 6d, New Zealand Newspaper Mills Is to 29s and Wilson and Horton Is 6d to 275. On the rights market Claude Neon, Consolidated Brick and Wilson Cement improved.
Among Australian shares Amalgamated Wireless featured with a Is 6d rise to 22s 6d, Broken Hill Proprietary rights gained 4d to 23s lOd, Mount Isa moved up 6d to 34s 6d and A.C.1.6d to 50s.
