Clarke’s New Job

(New Zealand Press Association)

HAMILTON. The former All Black full-back, D. B. Clarke, has been appointed convener of the Northern Districts cricket panel of three selectors for this season. Last season he was sole selector of the under-23 Northern Districts team for the Rothman tournament.

The other two selectors are Messrs A. F. Lissette (Hamilton) and A. G. McHugh (Gisborne). This is the first season Northern Districts have decided on a panel of three, a sole selector having been adhered to since the association was granted Plunket Shield status nine years ago.
