A frontal zone lies just north of the North Island with a shallow depression west-north-west of North Cape. Canterbury.—Moderate north-easterlies on the coasts; north-westerlies, freshening at times, in exposed inland areas; some morning fog or low cloud patches, otherwise mainly fine. Warm temperatures away from the coast. OutJook: mainly cloudy. Buller and Westland.—Moderate variable winds; some cloudy areas, with a few drizzle patches this morning, otherwise partly cloudy; mild afternoon temperatures.
