EXPORT LAMB COMPETITION.—The winning pen of lambs in the under 361b class in the first export lamb competition of the new season. One of the three judges. Mr A. E. White, supervising grader for the New Zealand Meat Producers’ Board, is shown congratulating the owner, Mrs D. J. Rands, Randlea, Springbank, whose property is managed by Mr A. E. Pearce. A pen from this farm won the unrestricted weight class also. Both pens were drafted by Mr B. Henderson. The lambs were judged on the hook at the North Canterbury Freezing Company, Ltd., Kaiapoi, after competing in an on-the-hoof competition at the Rangiora Show on Saturday.
