The conqueror of Cook , B ? rrie Deven port, told the Young World Assembly of the Freedom from Hunger Campaign 'n Rome last week that New Zealanders were •more likely to suffer from indigestion than hunger.” . He _ was representing New Zealand youth at the assembly, as national president of “Operation 21” —the title of the Dominion s effort in the Y'oung ’• orld appeal against hunger. Mr Devenport, with others present signed a manifesto urging the young people of the world to fight hunger and malnutrition as a means of ensuring peace.
