WOLFE IS STAYING
U.K. Report Denied (N.Z. Press Association* NEW PLYMOUTH. The Taranaki and former All Black centre, T. N. Wolfe, is not going to England, as reported in a cable message from London.
The message from the N.Z.P.A. Special Correspondent. stated that the New Zealand full-back, M. W. Williment, was all set to play for the London club, Blackheath, within the next month, according to the “Evening News” Rugby writer, Bob Trevor.
“Williment, currently rated j as the test in the world, is coming to Britain with Neil i Wolfe, the Taranaki centre., on a prolonged visit,” the' message read. Wolfe said in New Ply- 1 mouth yesterday: "No, I’m ‘ not going.
“There was a spare berth in the four-berth cabin and Williment tried to talk me into going. I was a bit undecided and finally decided against it”
Club Loans
fN.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND. Because of its healthy I financial position, the Auck-I land Rugby Union will ballot j another £6OOO in loans to clubs. Three clubs will each: receive £2OOO. repayable at 1 per cent interest. The union has already lent £lB.OOO since 1963 to nine clubs.
