FAILURE OF CLAIM

WELLINGTON, October 26. A claim by the District Inspector of Awards, Palmerston North, Frank Burton Pool, against Joinery Products, Ltd., of Palmerston North, for £lO as penalty for an alleged breach of the Carpenters' and Joiners’ Award has been dismissed by the Arbitration Court. The claim related to non payment of tea money to a worker.
The Court, by a majority decision held that the work involved did not come under the specific award as claimed. The workers’ assessor on the Court, Mr A. B. Grant,
