Scottish King Giving Homage

LONDON, October 25.

The Scottish Secretary of State (Mr William Ross), has joined Scottish members of Parliament in protesting rgainst this year’s House of Commons official Christmas card.

The battle against the use sf the card —which depicts the Scottish king, Alexander 111, paying homage in 1278 to an English king—began against the English in August. Mr Neil Carmichael (Labour, Glasgow) said the card was an insult and he wrote a letter of protest to the Speaker of the Commons.
