U.N. Premiere
A new choral work by Benjamin Britten will be a highlight of the symphony concert to be given in New York to mark the twentieth anniversary of the United Nations on Sunday. Britten composed the work, “Voices for Today,” at the request of the Secretary General, U Thant. Hugh Ross will conduct the 12-minute composition, which is scored for two choirs,
