TRAINING OF TROOPS

U.K. Director On Visit

(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Oct. 18.

The director of training for the Britsih Army, Major-Gen-eral D. B. Lang, arrived in Wellington tonight. General Lang will have informal discussions with New Zealand Army chiefs and will address senior Army officers before flying to Ohakea and Waiouru on Wednesday. He will visit all training units at New Zealand Army schools.

General Lang visited the Far East and Australia on the way to New Zealand. His discussions will be on guerrilla warfare and jungle fighting. General Lang was greeted at the airport by the commander of the central military district. Brigadier P. Bullot.
