The President’s Chair
A gold brocade armchair to be called the president’s chair was presented to the Canterbury Women’s Club in memory of a former member, Miss May Redpath. by the president, Mrs L. P. Bennett at the 52nd birthday party of the club, last evening. The cake was cut by Mrs M. J. Smail. The decor was by Mrs C. G. Manhire and the programme was arranged by Mrs W. E. Olds. Items were presented by Mesdames M. Hanafin, J. Ebert, R. Smith, and G. Bielby, and Messrs G Humphries, V. Reid, and D Manhire.
