CHILD CARE CENTRES
Call For Govt. Subsidy (N.Z. Press Association) NELSON, October 17. Subsidised child care centres were advocated by the president of the New Zealand Association of Child Care Centres, Mrs S. M. L. Davies, of Nelson, in her report to the annual conference on Saturday in Tauranga. Mrs Davies was not able to attend. / “In most countries overseas a Government subsidy is made to child care centres,” her report said. “We are rapidly reaching the stage In New Zealand where private enterprise and local and central government must combine to assist such centres.”
