Mr A. J. Whelan (Auckland) was appointed selector and coach to the New Zealand men's softball team which will compete in the world softball series in the United States next year.
This was decided at a meeting of the New Zealand Softball Association’s Council.
Mr E. Verrail (Auckland) was appointed assistant selector. Mr G. Marshall (Upper Hutt) and Mr H. Atkin (Wellington) were appointed North and South Island women’s selectors for the Inter-island tournament to be held in Auckland from December 27 to January 1.
