Snell’s Time Ratified

(N.Z.P..4.-Reuter—Copp right) NEW YORK. The International Amateur Athletic Federation council on Saturday ratified P. G. Snell's world record for 1000 metres. His time was 2min 16.6 sec, but this has been bettered by the East German. Jergen May, who ran the distance in 2mln 16.2 sec.
