Canterbury and the Kaikoura coast.—Light to moderate winds, mainly north-east near the coast, north-west inland; fine, but some areas of low cloud overnight and at first in the morning; mild afternoon temperatures. Outlook: cloud increasing. Buller and Westland. —Light variable winds; partly cloudy, with moderate afternoon temperatures. Outlook: cloud increasing. Nelson and Marlborough.—Winds light to moderate and variable; north-westerlies slowly increasing about Cook Strait; fine, with moderate to mild afternoon temperatures. Outlook: fine.
