MARY POTTER HOSPICE

Garden Fete Tomorrow The annual garden fete for funds for the Mary Potter Hospice will be held in the grounds of Calvary Hospital tomorrow. The fete was first held in 1957 and has since become an annual event. A welcome to all has been extended by the organisers, the Mary Potter Hospice Auxiliary.

The fete will include a wide variety of stalls and entertainment. There will be produce and cake stalls, children's wear stalls and a Noddy train and merry-go-round for the children. The Mary’ Potter wing was opened in 1956 and a second storey added last year. It caters for the aged and Ihe sick. Last year the fete raised £3OOO for the upkeep of the hospice.
