3 Paris Doctors

Three scientists from the Pasteur Institute of Paris today won this year’s Nobel Prize for Medicine.

The 22.000 crowns (19,420 sterling) prize was awarded by the 52 experts of the Swedish Caroline Institute to Doctors Francois Jacob, Andre Lowe and Jacques Monod.

They were honoured for their “discoveries of the genetic control of enzyme and virus syntheses” the fundamental process of life.
