BISHOPDALE CENTRE

Five More Shops Five more shops are to be built _t the Bishopdale shopping centre. Four of the shops will be built in a double-storey block on Lot 12 by Mr L. J. Brodie, who was one of four applicants for the lot. The acting administration officer of the Lands and Survey Department in Christchurch (Mr J. A. Shaw) said the block would contain a dairy and milk bar, a men’s hairdressing saloon and a ladies’ hair salon. There were two applications for a watchmaker’s shop at the centre. The successful applicant was Mr E. R. Wilson.

Mr Shaw said that all but four of the 36 shopping sites in the centre had now been taken.
