ANOTHER SWISS SHIP

(N.Z. Press Association) NEW PLYMOUTH, Oct. 4. The numerical strength of the Swiss merchant navy will be increased to 32 at New Plymouth on Thursday when the Cruzeiro do Sul changes her ownership, nationality and name. At present under charter to Shaw, Savill and Albion Shipping Company, the Cruzeiro do Sul is on her way from Dundin to New Plymouth. She

will berth at Port Taranaki on Wednesday. On Thursday ownership of the 8839-ton ship will change from Maranave, Ltd., a Swiss-owned firm which has the ship registered in Liberia, to another Swiss firm, Oceania Shipping Company, which will sail her under the Swiss flag. The ship will on Thursday be renamed the Castasegna, the name of a small village close to the centre from which the Swiss company operates.
