A. J. White, Christchurch i furnishers, lifted its profit: £1199 or 10.6 per cent to £12.585 in the year to June 30. This is £1465 less than the peak of £14,050 set in 1959 and is after allowing £332 more at £2729 for depreciation and £1235 more at £11,654 for taxation. Dividend is a steady 6£ per cent on capital lifted from £100.570 to £117,500 by a one-for-six bonus issue. Dividend payment is £lOB9 higher at £7626. Carry-forward is £49,273 against £46,228 brought in. Reserves Because of the bonus issue, general reserve and dividend equalisation account have been cleared. Shareholders’ funds are £4805 higher at £166,603 and earning rate on average funds is 7.55 per cent against 7.15 per cent last year. Current assets are down £1674 to £134,067. Sundry debtors are £47,149 (£39,443 last vear) and stock £86,918 (£93,294). Investments are £3872 (£2839) and fixed assets are £1665 higher at £111,625. Current liabilities are £3906 higher at £43,246 and term liabilities are £9OOO lower at £46,500.
