For the purpose of repaying on maturity that portion of the No. 11 Reticulation Loan, 1954, raised by the Springs-Ellesmere Electric Power Board which matures on February 1, 1966: that portion of the Banks Peninsula Electric Power Board Reticulation Loan, 1954, raised by the Banks Peninsula Electric Power Board, which matures on October 31, 1965: that portion of the Banks Peninsula Electric Power Board Kinloch Reticulation Loan, 1955, raised by the Banks Peninsula Electric Power Board which matures on February 1, 1966: and that portion of the Malvern Electric Power Board Loan, 1955, raised by the Malvern Electric Power Board which matures on January 16, 1966, the board resolves to b arrow in New Zealand the sum of Thirty-three Thousand One Hundred Pounds (£33,100) such loan to be known as "Redemption Loan. 1965." 2. The term for which the said loan or any part thereof may be borrowed shall be 10 years, maturing on November 1, 1975. 3. The rate of interest that may be paid in respect of the said loan or any part thereof shall be such as shall not produce to the lender or lenders a rate or rates exceeding 51 per cent per annum. 4. The board shall, before raising the said loan or any part thereof, make provision for the repayment thereof by establishing a sinking fund and shall make annual payments to such sinking fund at a rate of not less than Eight Pounds Four Shillings and Eightpence (£8 4s 8d) per cent per annum of the amount of the loan for the time being borrowed and not repaid. 5. The payment of interest and repayment of principal in respect of the said loan shall be made in New Zealand and no amount payable as either interest or sinking fund in respect of the said loan shall be paid out bf loan money. 6. The rate payable for brokerage in respect of the raising of the said loan or any part thereof shall not exceed one half per cent of any amount raised. 7. Payment of interest and sinking fund instalments in respect of the said loan and the repayment thereof shall be secured by a s-pecial rate of one-fiftieth (1-50) per cent penny in the pound on the value (on the basds of the capital value) of all rateable property in the Central Canterbury Electric Power Dis- ■ trict. 8.
