STRUCK BY BARBELL
<N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON. Sept. 20. A man practising weightlifting dropped a 501 b barbell on his head and fractured his skull yesterday. He is R. Christie, of Johnsonville. His condition was reported this morning by the Wellington Hospital to be fairly comfortable. He was practising when the barbell slipped from his grasp.
