‘NOT N.Z. SHIP’

(N I. Press Association) WELLINGTON. Sept. 14. The Federated Seamen’s Union was disturbed to hear and see the foreign vessel, Knight Templar, which recently caught Are in Japan, being described as a “New Zealand ship," said the union president Mr W. Martin today. “The Knight Templar is registered overseas and carries an Asiatic crew," said Mr Martin. “The ship carries New Zealand produce to Japan, and brings Japanese produce back here. “The union considers that this two-way trade should employ New Zealand ships and New Zealand crews in the Pacific. “It disturbs our members to f bear this ship described as a New Zealand ship when she 4s nothing of the sort," he said.
