Curtailment Of Production (N Z P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) TOKYO, September 6. The Japanese car industry is feeling the impact of an economic recession for the first time in almost a decade, the Japan Automobile Industry Association said today. Leading car makers have begun to curtail their production by 10 per cent and the industry as a whole plans to revise downward its production target for the current financial year from the original 1,507,000 units.
