The position involves:— (a) Research work into aspects of banking and banking trends in New Zealand and overseas, including initiation and direction of confidential surveys. (b) Public Relations work, including preparation of responsible statements on banking, economic and financial matters, public speaking engagements, contacts with representative bodies, commercial and economic organisations and the press. The position calls for possession of a good personality and character, ability in writing and public speaking, and a background knowledge of, and training in, economics and banking principles and practice A substantial salary will be paid to the right man, with special arrangements for expenses, car allowance and superannuation policy benefits. The appointment will be initially for a term of five years.
