AMERICANS VOLUNTEER

(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) WASHINGTON, Sept. 3. More than 12,000 American soldiers had volunteered to serve in Vietnam since July, 1964, the White House said today. About 7000 of them had been assigned to Vietnam duty and the remainder would go as soon as vacancies occurred for their special skills.
