CAPTAIN COOK FILM PLANNED.—The figurehead of the Resolution, Captain Cook’s ship on his second and third voyages, being examined by Mr James Poe, an American screen writer, at the Dominion Museum, Wellington. Mr Poe is visiting New Zealand to carry out research for the Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer film on the life of Captain Cook. The figurehead was presented to the museum by a former Governor-General, Viscount Galway.
