Three Persons In Hospital After Collision At Cust
Three persons were admitted to the Christchurch Hospital after two cars collided at the corner of Tram and Early’s roads, Cust, about 12.30 p.m. yesterday. Alex Bouvet, of 16 Wingate street, Northcote, suffered lacerations to the face and eye, leg injuries and shock. His wife, Margaret Bouvet, suffered head and arm injuries and shock. Their young son, Mark Bouvet, suffered head injuries. The driver of the other car, Neville Alexander Smith, of West Eyreton, was treated for injuries by Dr. H. T. Knight, of Oxford. His car
came to rest on its side in a paddock. Both cars were extensively damaged. Constable G. V. Strong, of Oxford, attended the accident. Three Cars in Accident.— Leg injuries were suffered by Clarence Rooke, of 88 Rowses road, when he was struck by a car on the Main West road about one mile on the Christchurch side of the West Melton township about 5,40 p.m. yesterday. He was admitted to the Christchurch Hospital. Two cars were parked while a tyre on one was being changed. Mr Rooke was standing behind the rear car when a car driven by Doreen Boyle, of 37 Bainton street struck him. Her car hit the rear of the first parked car and it was pushed forward into the car in front. Mrs Boyle was treated at the Christchurch Hospital for shock. Her car was extensively damaged about the front
Leg Injuries.—Richard Haggett of 149 Peterborough street was admitted to Christchurch Hospital suffering from leg injuries after a m'tor-scooter and a truck collided at the corner Of Colombo and Brougham streets about 5.45 pjn. on Saturday. Car Strikes Pol&—Head injuries were suffered by lan Bruce Paterson, of Burnham Military Camp, when a car struck a pole on the- Main South road about two and ahalf miles south of Templeton about 1.10 a.m. yesterday. He was admitted to the Christchurch Hospital.
Fell Off Motor-cycle,—After he fell off a motor-cycle in Lyttelton on Saturday afternoon, Samuel Morrison, of 7 Woodland road, Johnsonville, Wellington, was treated at the Christchurch Hospital for leg injuries.
Car and Bus Collide.—Wil liam Stanley Chappel, of 25 Tainui street, Somerfield, suffered lacerations to the head and bruised ribs when his car and a Christchurch Transport Board bus collided at the corner of Worcester street and Latimer square about 9.15 a.m. on Saturday. He was treated at the Christchurch Hospital. His car, which was extensively damaged along one side, had to be removed by a breakdown truck.
Head Lacerations. Noel Jbhnston, of Marshland road, suffered ’ lacerations to the head when two cars collided in Riccarton road, near Clyde road, about 12.10 p.m. on Saturday. He was treated at the Christchurch Hospital. Child Injured.—When he was struck by a car on the road outside his home about 4.30 p.m. on Saturday Andrew Morton, aged two, of 3 Staines street, suffered head injuries. He was admitted to the Christchurch Hospital.
Fell Out of Car.—When he fell out of a moving car in Larsens road about 4.15 p.m. on Saturday, Michael Kerr, of 7 Glovers road, suffered head injuries. He was treated at the Christchurch Hospital.
