Lamb Prices Easier (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, August 27. Some improvement in demand for moderate supplies on London’s Smithfield market this week enabled traders to achieve better prices for most commodities, according to the Meat Board market information service. There was a moderate demand for New Zealand lamb at slightly lower prices. Quotations for the main grade (29-361 b were Is 2d per lb down on last week. New Zealand mutton sold slowly at nominal prices. The main grade of wethers (49561 b) sold at 17d to 18d per lb and ewes at lid to llfd per lb. New Zealand beef was not quoted.
