Adams Wins Boys’ Golf

(N.Z. Press Association} WELLINGTON, August 27. P. R. Adams, a 16-year-old Invercargill lefthander, won the New Zealand boys’ golf title at the Hutt Course today. He beat M. McDonald (Wellington) in the final 2 and 1.

There was little between the two but Adams’ greater steadiness over the final holes won him the game. Adams plays off a three handicap and McDonald, also aged 16, off a five. In the semifianls in the morning both had comfortable wins, Adams beat M. J. Gyde (Nelson) 5 and 4 and McDonald defeated J. Walsh (Poverty Bay) 5 and 3.
