To Captain World XI

(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Aug. 26. The New Zealand cricket captain, J. R. Reid, will leave New Zealand tomorrow for England where he will captain the Rest of the World in two matches against an England XI. Reid will practise with the ground staff at Lord’s before nlaying in the first match at Scarborough on September 8. The second match starts at Lord’s on September 11. Reid said tonight the World XI trip came rather early after the big New Zealand tour but he was eager to captain such a great gathering of cricketers.
