Loss Of £124 For Year After providing £465 for depreciation and transferring £250 to the building fund the Amberley Racing Club showed a loss of £124 on the year's operations. This is shown in the balance sheet which, with the annual report of the president, Mr B. G. Rutherford, will be presented to members on September 6. Although there was a large crowd and the weather was fine for the club’s annual race meeting in May the on-course turn-over of £25,379 was down by £534 on the previous year’s figure. However, the off-course turnover, at £34.476. was £5OO higher than in 1964. During the year the club spent £527 for the building of a swabbing box and the necessary facilities. Repairs and maintenace, including the painting of the administration buildings, cost £282. The club distributed £2842 in stakes and trophies and race meeting expenses amounted to £669. Totalisator and amusement tax amounted to £3068. Totalisator revenue at £6470 was the club’s main source of income. Gate receipts brought in £407, nominations and ac ceptances £327 and members’ subscriptions £3OB. In his report the president points out that the recent taxation concessions made by the Government should result in an increase in revenue of more than £BOO in the club’s accounts next year.

(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON. Investments with the Totalisator Agency Board on the Pakuranga Hunt meeting yesterday amounted to £142,590. Win and place bets amounted to £67,447 10s and £75,142 10s was invested on the double. The off-course substitute was Crojack (No. 6).
