Chinese Team Arrives (N.Z P.A.-Reuter —Copyright) DAR ES SALAAM, Aug. 24. A 12-man team of experts from China has arrived in Dar Es Salaam to begin an engineering survey of the Tanzanian leg of the proposed Tanzania-Zambia railway, it was confirmed today. Their arrival is after an approach to China by President Julius Nyerere during a visit to Peking last February for assistance in the project —originally declared uneconomical by the World Bank. The Chinese team, which in- ! eludes railway, geological and ! hydrological experts, is to survey a section of the proposed | link which would run bejtwen Kidatu, west of Dar Es : Salaam, to Tunduma on the ’ Tanzania-Zambia border.
