COMMUNIST TERRORISTS
Police Action In Thailand (N.Z.P A.'Reuter—Copyright) BANGKOK, August 20. The police have formed three special Communist suppression units in north-east-ern Thailand after clashes with Communist terrorists. There have been five clashes in the last 11 days. One policeman has been killed and three, including a colonel, wounded. The three special units, equipped with a helicopter, will be stationed in each of the three provinces of Nongkhai, Udorn, and Nakorn Phanom, all bordering Laos. The colonel in charge of the district said that the major difficulty the police encountered in their work was their inability to identify terrorists from ordinary peasants and villagers.
